give me a f#$ing break. some dumbass hits a kills a cyclist this afternoon. i think if you get a dui they should impound your car also. this idiot drug the bike under the car. oh and he hit him from behind. then a driver hits 4 kids and kills 1 in e-town. what's going on. like they used to say on hill street blues, ok people lets be careful out there.
People just don't focus on driving when they are driving. Cell phones, make up, cigarettes, reading a book, eating, someone does something stupid with their car then you pull along side them or see them as they turn and they are doing one of these things. People should just drive and do nothing else while driving. Driving is not the time to multi task. Driving is by far the most dangerous thing we do in a day, or at least most of us.
ReplyDeleteThe guy tried to run from police, the bike was still imbeded in his car. Then he ran home to Moma!
I have thought about riding my bike to work, but hearing things like this is why I don't and why my road riding is limited. Louisville is just not the place to ride a bike on the roads.
but the mayor said we are a bike friendly town. we even paid for that distinction. i guess that needs to be reevaluated.
ReplyDeleteI think most cyclist know the bike friendly thing is just a bunch of propaganda. They have made progress, but the streets are not bike friendly.
ReplyDeleteI am glad Jerry is moving on......
i admit i was a little scared riding on the road yesterday. i was a little more alert. but i found myself going back to the wreckless rider i am on the road. running stop signs blowing through stop lights and taking my fare share of the road. it helps with the ipod, lots of angry music. chris i know the cycling friendly city thing is a joke. the whole campaign is a smoke and mirror for tax dollars. as the neighborhoods of the city/county become linked it will become more bike friendly.maybe, hopefully.
