I've heard some grumbling about the show coming to Louisville,Ky. i don't really get why some builders and regular people/ bicyclist wouldn't want to come. Let's look at some of the reasons why Louisville works.
Louisville is an easy place to fly or drive to. There are lots of direct flights to and from Louisville. The show is close to the airport and a short cab ride of any local cyclist would be more than happy to help. As far as driving goes, take your pick, lots of highways roll right through the state. If more proof is need, Indiana just to the north is called Americas Crossroads. Still not having it? Think of Don driving cross country to set up the show. Speaking of Don. Kentucky is Don's new home state and we proudly welcome him to the Louisville area.
Still not enough? Louisville is home to many great restaurants and great micro breweries. Ask 20 that live here where to eat of get a good beer and you'll get 40 answers. So lets recap, we have great beer, food, great people, easy access to lots of things and in March you can usually get a ride in.... OUTSIDE! Louisville has bike lanes coming out of the downtown area and an awesome city park with miles of mountain bike trails. And how can you forget the World CX Championship course that is a permanent!
Louisville an awesome cycling family. Think about it. We've had Masters Road Championships, Masters World CX Championships, World CX Championships. We are the 16th largest city and we have at least 20 bicycle shops within 20 minutes of downtown.
If this isn't enough let me know what you are looking for I bet we have it.NAHBS 2015

Paul Comp Parts
I've been using Paul parts for years. This company just makes great dependable parts. These things aren't cheap but you'll be glad you bought them. The chain keeper (top left) the perfect part for the 1x9 set up and the melvin (middle left) for single speed set up on a regular frame. Or you can think outside the box and use the melvin for a 3x1(bottom right) set up. Make sure you read the directions on the 3x1 set up.

Thursday Night Fiasco!
Tomorrow
night will be the first Thursday night ride of the season. What does
the mean? Well it means good people, a fun ride, and cheap beer (yes,
with us on the ride). The fiasco begins sometime around 8:30-9:00 near
the bathrooms at the walking track. Bring your lights! No drops, and everyone welcome.

The Brew Voyage with Daniel
I should have written and posted this long ago. My friend Daniel has started on an awesome journey for all the right reason. He is a little more or less half way finished. Daniel is ridding his bike across this great land and taking in all that it has to offer and the beer too. Check out his site and help him enjoy more beer and the World cup along the way. brewvoyage.com

WD-40 chain lube
I used WD-40 chain lube for the first time a few weeks ago. I have to say I like the smell and it works well. We will see how it holds up next to Dumonde Tech, my normal lube.
