Because Its that time of year!

I would like to extend an invitation to all able bodies and general do gooders for the first annual Weed eat-athon. I have already gotten started and let me tell you, it is far greater than I can remember. Bee stings, poison ivy and the taste of oil enriched gas are just a few great things you will experience at the event. Play games like weed eater joust or the “I bet I can cut a hole through your shoe” game. Hell, as long as you show up with them, there will even be refreshments. You may be asking yourself, “Is weed eating right for me?”, “What if I’m not as good as everybody else?” or “Can you die from hay fever?” First of all, weed eating has been popular with incarcerated roadside crews for decades, its just now starting to reach the general public. Were you good at Connect Four the first time you played? Unless you were a Connect Four child prodigy like me, of coarse you weren’t any good. As far as hay fever is concerned, it may kill the boy in the bubble but you are probably not going to die. (Note: Consult a doctor before starting any weed eater program. If you happen to be encapsulated in cellophane, you may be a person in “the bubble”.) Other FAQ’s have been; “What is the ringing in my ears and does it go away?” That’s Tinnitus, or commonly referred to as permanent hearing damage and it may go away, “I don’t have to be part of KYMBA do I?” NO!!! This event is in no way affiliated with the KYMBA What’s the Point Race. Were not out to ruin the trails, just clean them up.

WHAT: Weed eating. Didn’t we already talk about this?

WHERE: Ft. Duffield – Red Loop, Blue Loop, and the always fun, Yellow Trail.

WHEN: Whenever you want to. I personally like the evenings but anytime is the right
time. I will also be out there this weekend. If you by chance you don’t like me, then pick another time. Its really that easy.

WHY: Because how many other earthen Civil War Forts do you get mountain bike in? None. That’s how many.

HOW: I hope its self explanatory. But the weed eater probably came with instructions, and if it didn’t, then borrow someone’s instructions. I’m sure there’re close.

What To Bring: Weed eater, Gas, Good trimmer line, Bug spray, Water, Loppers, Small hand saw, Boz Skaggs Greatest Hits, Safety glasses, Ear Plugs, 50cc of liquid morphine, Personal satisfaction, and incase the war between the States starts up again you may want to brush up on you cannon firing skills.

  1. Yeah, nice post Brandon.

I just love all of the mis conceptions about KYMBA.

At any rate, I might be out Sunday. I will bring the chain saw for the logs!

  3. I can be there Sunday later in the afternoon. While were talking about Duffield anyone interested in doing shuttle runs on Tuesdays let me know I think it would be a lot of fun and a good way to raise money for the park. It would be like 5 bucks. Right now I know of about ten people who are pumped to do it.
