lots of stuff

i'll start with the car dealership is closing on july 31st. man what bummer. lots of good people will be looking for jobs. i made some really good friends there. i hate goodbyes. so i worked yesterday a schellers and it seems as though i'm a necessary evil for some people. last night we were talkin cx racing. it seems as though one employee wants a cx bike just so he can come out a beat me. it probably has nothing to do with cx being the fastest growing cycling discipline right now. i think he's going to order his bike today. only 50 something days to go. the picture posted is ross. he's a future cx racer and co-worker.

he thinks it will be easy but fun. he has one thing right. do you ever look at any of your bikes and think god that's a good looking bike.

  2. I have notice a lot of people are getting into cycle cross. I honestly don't get it. I was told the other day that you don't just go ride cycle cross for fun, it either race or you don't do it.

I guess I really got turned off MTB racing so I couldn't imgine picking up another cycling discipline that was all about racing.

The other thing that gets me is they get off the bikes to go over obstacles, apparently that is the goal is to see how fast you can get off the bike and get back on the bike. Why is the goal not to go over the obstacle while on the bike? I guess you couldn't call it cycle cross if that was the case.

Oh well, I don't see my self ever being into cycle cross.

  3. I look at my wife usually and say "god that's a good looking woman" but I have to admit (but never tell my wife) I do that to my bikes as well, just not as often (I think).

I would love to get into cross racing, but one more bike is not in the budget. As far as racing, I have always been competitive in individual sports, but being relatively new to cycling it is hard for me to get stoked about racing when I usually get blown away at the start. I have come to see cycling as a way to slow myself down rather than get all hyped up.

Either way I hope to watch the Grand Prix again this year. Missed it last year and was mad at myself for it.

  6. Bring it on, that guy too. CX will prove to be some of the best racing this year, lots of racers and lots of fun for all. I don't care if I win or lose, gonna be fun getting dirty and riding the bike.
