screw the critics, birks are comfy and you're obviously not worried about how they look. eventually we out cool oourselves to the poiint that nothings genuine, just following code. you be you. if that means birks and blue pants, rock it like you mean it.
too funny molnar. we're those a gag gift from marty?! seriously though... you're a bike guy and we all know you'll have your hands in cycling one way or another. i'm just bitter it's scheller's, lol. that place is on it's way to becoming a cookie cutter trek bicycle store just like the other 2000 throughout the states.
we at middletown are far from being cookie cutter that be one of the other stores. we are trying to keep the big store look with a small store feel. i'll call it personality. we're working on it and we're making progress. as far as the shoes go, they are quite confy and not just any pants but work pants from previous employeer. thanks springhurst chevy. then there are the sox, well they are nice i only wish they were tall. rider stop by the shop put in some hang time and watch a cx video on the tv. come on one more chance.
Lady I worked with came to me the other day pissed because someone at schellars, apparently told her son they did not have time to deal with him or his bmx bike. The kid had cash to buy what he needed. What a bunch of shit......I sent him to on your left. A couple of years ago I bought a helmet from Schellars and was given a 10% discount, only to find out that even with the 10% discount i still paid over retail.......AS big as Schellars is they should be the cheapest in town, but actaully seems they are the most expensive in town.. Who doesn't have time to deal with customers that have cash? John I know this wasn't you, but this is who you are working for......
was it at my store. dude i really hope i can be the wind of change there. they/we are coming around. just because i work here doesn't mean i've changed the way i am. i know you aren't saying that, i'm just letting you know.
i'll agree with the comment about the middletown store... for now, lol. give it time and eventually marty will cave in and configure it like the indiana shop (a true cookie cutter corporate trek store all the way down to the displays, fixtures and wood flooring in each store from coast to coast). i can appreciate what you're doing for the middletown shop, but i've been burnt by the "pre-molnar" scheller's and refuse to drop hard earned money there anymore.
forgot to mention i saw you guys rollin' through the park this morning. looked like a group of 6-8 of you guys and you all were movin' pretty good. cx season should be fun this year. i was on my way to the alzheimer's walk down at waterfront park around 8:30 and cut down river road when i saw ya.
rider, i'm not asking you to come in and spend, if nothing else just stop in and take a look. i understand where you're coming from. i've heard it many times over. just check it out. you know me i'm open to suggestions. you the customer know what you want so lets hear it and see what we can do. the bike shop is and will always be a social place.
yes...paying 100 bucks for sandals is very evil. ;)
ReplyDeleteoh, come on. i've totally gotten my money out of them. the sox are cool too.
ReplyDeletesell out
