Summer Highs

Haven't posted in nearly a month, but read what you guys have to say daily. Glad to see that everyone in Louisville is not a professional road racer (in their own mind).

Anyways, had a great summer of racing and "just riding my bike". Some highlights of my summer, if interested:

-Yellowstone Nat'l Park, Grand Teton Nat'l Park, more importantly Grand Teton Brewing Co. (they only distribute as far as St. Louis). Got to ride some sick freeride trails on teton pass, saw bears chasing elk. Hung out with wife's family. FUN!
-TEVA Mountain Games. Competed in the road hill climb. 9.82 miles up Vail Pass. SUCK!
-Crested Butte- Rode to Vail with Goldberg from CB, and back, 84 miles. Took us 13 hrs. Got emotional at the top of one of the passes and lost my mind. BEST RIDE EVER.
-Discovered Fat Tire Ale- and they sell it 2 miles from my house. DANGEROUS!
-Pennsylvania Rails to Trails- Sustainability, Green Living, Sojourn Trails. Organic Chocolate Milk made from goat milk. Drank a gallon and got sick. INSPIRATIONAL!
-Shenandoah 100. If you're considering getting into these endurance races. This is one of the best in the country. www.mountaintouring.com. The race is in Virginia. Sign up early.
-1 yr wedding annniversary. My wife went to Brown Cty. She loved it. She hates Cherokee, though. Too many roots.
-The Black Crowes- 5th time seeing them at the Ryman in Nashville.
-Exile on Main St. album. The Rolling Stones. Can't stop listening to this CD
CX- new bike, 2 days in, dented top tube. Enough said.

So you can see why I don't post often. My writing sucks, but I can freestyle on and off the bike.
See you at the CX races.

  2. Grand Teton Brewing company and Fat Tire Pale Ale. the thought alone of drinking each on tap gets me going. Plus the thin air out west and the ripping Mtn Trails. thanks for sharing Lee.
