usgp day 2
this day started out on a sour note. i left day one early to go home eat some lunch and get cleaned up. this would prove to mistake #1 the 2nd one was when i got back to the races i failed to check the results. i finished just in front of jon from michigan who finished 73rd but when i checked the results on sunday morning i was not in the 70's but in 92nd place. pissed. i soon learned that they weren't using the chips until they realized there were problems. oh well, live and learn that's life in the ovcx. this being said for my stellar finish on saturday puts me on next to the last row for sunday. as for sunday racing wtf. can anyone in cat 4 ride a bike. first crash and we aren't off the pavement, 6 dudes wad it up in the fence. 2nd crash a couple go down on the exit from pavement to grass and the 3rd is at the creek/mud puddle crossing. there were to many people to count and then a whole field dismounts. i haven't a clue as to how many started but i did climb into the 70's for sunday. i didn't stick around for any of the races but all the picture links tell the story. i love racing cross. i really do, of all the bike racing that i've done over the years cross is the most fun.
