the start of my cx season
well this is like any other cx season for me except the first one. ever since i lost the weight i seem to get sick this time of year. i know it's the allergies but damn i'll be rocking this shit out til novenber. then there's the back. it's never good enough for cross despite all the riding i do leading up to the season. so many days off the bike and a race tomorrow i guess i'll see what happens. it looks like cx will have another big season with lots of new people getting into the sport. i hope we have lots of people show up to at least spectate for the races. as i've said many times before, how much better can it get outside drinking beer with your friends heckling people. the new cx park at eva bandman seems to be moving along rapidly. hopefully we get to race there this year. over to the mountain bike side of things for a moment the trails are awesome, dusty, and fast. we need some rain to freshen them up. the lack of rain has the trees dropping leaves like it's fall. it looks like the leaves with a little rain will make things slick soon. i understand lots of you have been heading up to brown county. it looks like the lst few months of the year always hold lots of cycling events. it all starts with the nbl grands in september and ends with the last cx race in december. check the calender for lots of upcoming events. i hope to see lots of people tomorrow at the shawnee race, bring your cow bells and your beer. the course will offer lots of great vantage points and a few awesome places for beer and dollar hand-ups. the following weekend we travel to fishermans park for the ball busting tour de louisville. i don't quite get the name since it's not a road race, but what ever. nate and i should be updating beers on monday soon.
