There will be no encore for ear X-tacy. After 26 years, the iconic Louisville record store finally called it quits on Monday, three days after it closed for undisclosed reasons. Despite being routinely cited as one of the nation's top independent record stores, ear X-tacy had been struggling for years as CD sales slump and consumers get music digitally or from big-box chain stores.
