ear-x-tacy

so today at 10 am the announcement will come about the future of this louisville institution. all i can say is go and spend as much as you can. there is just something about having a cd. you know your itunes can get deleted and ipods die but you always have the cd. this record store is know all over the u.s. , and has been seen in movie shot in town, and lets not even go to the bumper sticker side of things. i remember when it was in vogue to have your bmx bike plastered with them. i love this store and so does my whole family. if ear-x-tacy closes that will leave only one locally owned and operated record store in town, underground sounds. you know i thought about this yesterday and after having a blood pressure rising conversation with drew this is what i think. why in the hell do places like starbucks sell cd's, hell they make coffee, they aren't music people. besides that they only have the "cool new releases" you know the ones. that's like having a package shipped through krispy kreame, yeah i know it doesn't make sense. i guess all i can say is do your part buy local and support the people and businesses that support us. i will now finish my cup of locally roasted coffee and check out the ear-x-tacy facebook page. everyone have a good day and i'll see you at the record store this weekend.
